An advanced course in traditional upholstery skills. The next step in your journey...

Traditional Upholstery School has designed this course to provide students with the next step up on their traditional upholstery journey. Advanced Traditional Upholstery course runs once a week on Thursdays for 12 weeks. Each student works on a beautiful chair frame, first designing their chair andin buigld a fully sprung seat and stitched and stuffed shaped back using traditional methods and materials. The chair frame* has been designed by us – and is based on a beautiful original – made in solid beech by our frame-maker in the UK.

This course is unique to Traditional Upholstery School and will suit students who have started their upholstery learning journey, perhaps having completed our Foundation Course, Stage One of the AMUSF diploma or tackled the basics of traditional upholstery on a hobby course. It is offers a supportive, structured next step, enabling students to focus on advanced skills, increase their confidence and hone their ability to create furniture with a beautiful finish.
