Learn how to make a box pleated lampshade loose cover

 

On this fun and industrious one day sewing workshop students will make a beautiful box pleated lampshade in their own choice of fabric.

 

This fashionable and practical lampshade loose cover is ideal for pepping up a plain hard-sided shade. The benefits of being removable and washable make this style perfect for high-use spaces, and for spaces where a change of fabric style can make all the difference.

 

Students are invited to bring their own choice of fabric. 2m is an ideal length and will provide enough cloth for two shades. Cotton lawn and Indian block printed cotton muslins are super choices. Choose a 10in, 12in or 12in (diameter) shade.

 

This workshop is delivered by lampshade maker and author Joanna Heptinstall. Creative, industrious and packed with information, it is suitable for beginners to sewing as well as those with a little experience in sewing or lampshade making.
