A one-day workshop specially designed to boost your sewing skills

Whether you aim to whip up a loose cover for your armchair or just take up your too-long jeans your sewing machine needs to feel like your best friend. This one day workshop is designed to renew confidence in your sewing skills AND your sewing machine. This course is suitable for complete beginners. It is also recommended as good preparation for students about to enrol on a longer upholstery skills course. During the day you will use your new-found skills to make a zipped case for your sewing essentials.

Traditional Upholstery School's lovely and knowledgable sewing tutors will start at the beginning. Skills will include:

• Threading up and filling bobbins • Changing stitch lengths and styles • Using the correct foot for the job • Sewing straight lines, curves and corners • Sewing seams: including correct cutting and pinning methods • Making and inserting piping
