A two day workshop in specialist upholstery skills... take home your own stool

This fun and busy two-day workshop is designed to teach novice upholsterers the skills of deep buttoning. You will be supplied with a classic 12in x 18in footstool frame fitted with beech Queen Anne legs. Over the two days you will build up your stool using modern upholstery materials, which you will then button into, learning how to create the beautiful folds and diamond pattern that are the hallmark of traditional deep buttoning. This beautiful deep buttoned footstool will be yours to take home. As well as the frame, you will also be supplied with all the materials required. All you need to bring is 1m of upholstery fabric. This is a great value course!

The two days includes a masterclass demonstration designed to teach students how to take this method forward to work on other shapes and arrangements of buttoning design. Students will also be sent a comprehensive worksheet (there'll be a lot to remember 😉).
