12-week Foundation Course... taking your hobby seriously
The Traditional Upholstery School's 12-week long part-time foundation course is especially designed as a solid introduction to upholstery skills. Teaching important core upholstery skills - both traditional and modern - it offers beginners an opportunity to learn a fully-transferable range of upholstery skills to high standard so that they can continue upholstering a wide range of creative bespoke pieces for their home. This course is designed for complete beginners, and also for more practiced hobbyists who wish to hone their skills to a higher standard. It is independent to the Traditional Upholstery School.
• Upholster a drop-in seat (traditional methods and materials)
• Upholster a sprung dining or nursing chair (traditional methods and materials)
• Upholster a deep buttoned footstool (modern materials)

The course runs for 12 days, one day a week. Hours are 9.30am to 4.30pm. This course is designed to be enjoyable and informative... and of course a workmanlike approach is encouraged.
